Skillet Diary
Skillet Diary is a personal cooking journal that lets you browse recipes, cook step-by-step, and log the meals you make. This page explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
Skillet Diary does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Everything you enter stays on your device.
Information we collect
None. Skillet Diary has no account, no sign-up, and no login. We do not ask for your name, email, or any other personal detail, and we have no servers that could receive it.
Data stored on your device
To make the app work, Skillet Diary stores the following only on your device, using the operating system's local storage:
- Your cooking journal entries — which recipes you cooked, when, your ratings, and any notes.
- Recipes you browse or mark as favorites, and any cooking preferences you set.
- Achievements and badges you unlock, and the cooking statistics shown on your stats screen.
- Onboarding and app settings, so the app remembers your choices between launches.
This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to Skillet Diary or to any third party. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes all of it permanently.
Permissions
Skillet Diary requests no runtime permissions. It does not access your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, or files.
Network use
Skillet Diary is fully offline. It makes no network connections of any kind — no data is uploaded, downloaded, or synced. The app works entirely without an internet connection.
Third-party services
None. Skillet Diary integrates no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs. The only system feature it uses is your device's native share sheet, which you invoke yourself when you choose to share the app — nothing is shared automatically.
Children's privacy
Skillet Diary is safe for all ages. Because it collects no data and transmits nothing, it is compliant with children's privacy regulations such as COPPA and GDPR-K by design.
Your rights
Because all of your data lives only on your device, you are always in full control of it. You can delete individual journal entries in the app, or remove everything at once by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it — that permanently erases all associated data.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
